2. Workpiece shape and size: for large workpieces due to the limitations of equipment, it is difficult to use spray etching, while the immersion type will not be affected by the size of the workpiece. The shape of the workpiece is complex, and some parts of the workpiece will not be sprayed during spraying and affect the proper production of etching, while the immersion type, because the entire workpiece is immersed in the etching solution, can ensure that all parts of the anisotropic workpiece can be filled with etching solution and continuously replace the new liquid with the old liquid, so that the etching can be carried out normally, as long as the dynamic between the etching solution and the workpiece is maintained.
For a small flat or nearly flat workpiece, if the conditions allow, spray etching is better than immersion etching in terms of efficiency or accuracy, so for a large batch, the size of the workpiece is moderate (related to equipment), the shape of a simple flat shape of the workpiece to use the spray type is preferred; if the shape of the workpiece is relatively large and difficult to use etching machine, the shape of the workpiece is complex and the batch is not large, then the immersion type is appropriate.
