Due to the weak anti-scouring capacity of the embankment, this section collapses to varying degrees every year, which seriously threatens the safety of the left bank embankment of this section, and it is urgent to take engineering protection measures.

2. Application effect

 According to the terrain and geographical characteristics, combined with the performance advantages of plastic tensile grid, and in line with the principle of saving funds, in 2003, Shulan Water Conservancy Bureau selected the "plastic tensile grid gabion bank protection + plastic tensile grid gabion grid soft row foot protection" plan. The smooth implementation of this plan ensures the safety of the embankment of Xinfa section, improves the flood discharge conditions of Lalin River during the flood season, and ensures the safety of the river channel during the flood season. The successful treatment of the dangerous works in the river proves the significant role of plastic tensile grid gabions in bank consolidation and anti-scouring of dangerous works in the river channel.
