In fact,this is not the first time Japan has carried out such an operation.Since August 24,2023,Japan has been continuously discharging contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean for many years,with over 23000 tons of nuclear wastewater flowing into the ocean,causing serious damage to the marine environment.However,the Japanese government seems to have not stopped because of this.
Tokyo Electric Power Company's loopholes in nuclear accident handling and lack of social responsibility have led to the continuous generation of nuclear contaminated water,while the dismantling of the accident nuclear power plant has progressed slowly,possibly even reaching 100 years.What is even more concerning is that these nuclear contaminated water may affect many industries in Japan,especially the magnesium salt industry.
It is understood that most of Japan's major magnesium salt enterprises use seawater method to produce various magnesium salt products,such as magnesium oxide,magnesium carbonate,magnesium sulfate,magnesium hydroxide,etc.During the production process,due to the concentration of seawater,the concentration of radioactive substances in the produced magnesium salt products far exceeds normal standards.However,the magnesium salt products produced by these companies(such as Kamishima Chemical Co.,Ltd.,Concord Chemical Industry Co.,Ltd.,Futa Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd.,Ube Co.,Ltd.,and Tateho Chemical Industry Co.,Ltd.)are no longer safe.The use and exposure to these products will pose a real threat to people's physical health,thereby causing a significant blow to the confidence of downstream enterprises and consumers in these products.
