On October 23rd, at the third "Belt and Road" Energy Ministers' Conference in Qingdao, Zhang Jianhua, the head of the National Energy Administration, revealed that China has built a globally competitive new energy industry chain. The country contributes over 80% of the world's photovoltaic components and 70% of wind power equipment.

Over the past decade, China has played a crucial role in driving down costs. The average cost per kilowatt-hour for global wind and solar projects has been reduced by more than 60% and 80% respectively. Chinese wind and solar products are now found in more than 200 countries and regions around the world, enhancing global energy supply and significantly supporting energy transition efforts. This not only stabilizes international energy markets but also showcases China's leadership in the new energy sector.

The theme of this year's conference is "Cooperation for Win-Win Outcomes." Energy ministers from participating countries, diplomats stationed in China, as well as leaders from major domestic energy companies and financial institutions gathered to discuss a wide range of topics including energy transition, security, new storage technologies, and advanced nuclear power.

As China continues to lead the way in new energy development, it is set to have an even greater impact on the global energy landscape in the years to come.
