Recarburizers are mainly used in steel mills or foundries to increase the carbon content during the metal smelting process, thereby smelting ideal steel.

Specific uses are as follows:

(1) Steel mills: During the steelmaking process, various factors will cause the carbon content in the molten steel to decrease, which will affect the quality of the finished steel. Therefore, steel mills often purchase recarburizers to deal with the decrease in carbon content during steelmaking.
Recarburizers are chemical additives used to increase the carbon content in metal materials during the metallurgical process. The addition of recarburizers can compensate for the loss of carbon content and increase the carbon content in the molten iron. When the carbon content in the molten steel does not meet the expected requirements, adding a certain proportion of recarburizers can increase the carbon content in the molten steel, thereby smelting ideal steel.

(2) Foundries: In casting, recarburizers have the purpose of reducing the cost of castings. Using recarburizers as casting materials can greatly reduce the cost of castings. In addition, recarburizers have lubricating purposes, which can effectively increase the service life of castings and improve the quality of castings.
Improve the strength and hardness of castings, improve the toughness and wear resistance of castings, reduce the porosity and shrinkage of castings, and optimize the casting process.
Casting-specific recarburizer is a carbon material used in the casting process, which can improve the strength, toughness and wear resistance of castings, while reducing the porosity and shrinkage of castings. In the casting process, the role of the recarburizer is to add it to the casting alloy so that it can be quickly decomposed at high temperature to generate carbon compounds. The carbon compound can be further deposited in the grain boundaries, pores and defects of the casting alloy, effectively improving the organizational structure and mechanical properties of the casting.

(3) Other fields: Recarburizers can also be used in coal gasification, boiler combustion and automobile exhaust purification to improve combustion efficiency or control the generation of pollutants.
